Adatec develops and manufactures communication solutions based on Nessum-Wire technology, marketed under the Adatis brand. Based on the IEEE 1901 standard (formerly HD-PLC), the technology supports Fast Ethernet transmission over distances of up to 1 km point-to-point, and up to 10 km with multi-hop capability. What sets adatec apart is its ability to offer both finished products and modules for rapid integration of the technology into existing products, as well as development services for customization or customer-specific solutions.

This includes adapting existing designs, developing customer-specific firmware, and creating specialized variants. Beyond the product portfolio, adatec also offers comprehensive engineering services with particular expertise in embedded vision, video processing, and communication technologies — supporting customers through development, consulting, and technical implementation. A typical application scenario illustrates the advantages clearly: modern IP door communication can run seamlessly over existing doorbell wiring. The door station requires only an Ethernet interface, while all other functions — door opener control, power supply, and additional interfaces — are provided by the door controller in the secure interior. Data transmission, power supply, and door opener signal all run over the same pair of wires.

Nessum-Wire technology offers decisive competitive advantages: existing wiring can continue to be used, saving significant installation costs. With the ranges mentioned, the technology far exceeds classic Ethernet solutions. AES-128 encryption ensures the highest level of data security, while centralized power supply — optionally backed by a UPS — can power up to 1,024 devices on the same 2-wire bus.
